Wait, the scale lies?

Why doesn't the scale show the results I was promised?

 

We’ve all been here when we’re trying to get in shape.

 

You’ve been hitting the gym 4 to 5 times a week, eating clean, gaining muscle, strength, flexibility and coordination. Friends, family, co-workers all have told you how great look. Your clothes fit better than they used too, you have even gone out to buy new ones at a different sizes. Everything is going your way and then you step on the scale.

To your surprise

 

The numbers haven't changed one bit and you’re still the same weight. All of a sudden you went from pure joy to frustration. Negative thoughts start to  fill your mind and you start mutter to yourself "what the f***, I'm working my a** off and nothing has changed!"

 

This is where most people fall off and give up.  

 

People focus on the negative and forget about all the positive feedback you’ve been hearing. We've seen it before, actually we see it all the time, your body is losing fat and gaining muscle but the scale doesn’t move. That's why you need to put the statement of "how much should I weigh" out of your mind. Stay focused on all smaller gains/losses happening. The positive feedback from your friends, family and co-workers. Feel your energy increase, sex drive go up, everyday life get easier, clothes fit different, there are plenty of other ways of seeing results then a number on a scale.
